Choosing the right pet sitter can be a daunting task. Everyone sounds so good! Let me help you make an educated choice and understand why so many pet owners in SE WI are utilizing our services:
My main focus is your peace of mind. I never had children but we have four animals. My animals ARE my children and I wouldn’t leave them with “just anyone.” I wanted someone who is compassionate, educated, aware and responsible to take care of my “kids”, and saw that there was a void in our area. That’s why Wisconsin Pet Care was started-and safety, wellness and communication are our forte. My belief is also that you get what you pay for-if something seems too good to be true, think about it before acting, and check it out. Your priority should be the same as ours-the safety and well being of your animals.
My background is a corporate one. I was an award winning fashion designer/director/director of product development in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, where I met my husband. Being in this environment taught me a thing or two about business models and while learning, I was able to see the world in shopping for trends and later in my career doing product development all over Asia.
Being laid off during our economic crisis posed a whole new set of challenges and allowed me to follow my heart by becoming a pet care provider. Our whole team adores animals. Having a "gift" with them-I connect very quickly and easily to their energy. Because of this gift, this is an ideal "calling" for me and get tremendous enjoyment from doing it. The added bonus of making pets and owners happy is incomparable. If you are a spiritual person you'll defintely get what I mean!
We believe that the relationship between the pet parents and the pets extends far beyond just coming in and doing the service. It encompasses the whole family-from health and wellness to truly finding out the needs and wants for the animal. I spend a great deal of time reading about holistic medicine, diet and nutrition for pets so I can give you educated advice. When you become a customer, you are welcome to borrow from our library. I hope to be part of your extended family for the life of your pets and beyond. We even will accompany you to take your beloved pet to "The Bridge" if you so desire. This is our last moment to respect the friend we've come to love and it makes a difficult time just a little bit easier.To me, this is a true “relationship”.
We are also active in volunteering, rescue, pet advocacy and our local shelter. Last October, in tandem with NAPPS Presents 4 Pets campaign we (customers and friends) raised over $600 in cash for our SAFE HARBOR HUMANE SOCIETY and over $700 in product donations! And, last but not least, we are a green company, using biodegradable products to help eliminate plastic bags into landfills. Also offered with our team is a recycling of toys program where you give a bag and get one!
