Meet Lori

Hello, I’m Lori Mendelsohn Thomas, the owner of Wisconsin Pet Care LLC. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I started my business in 2008 with one focus in mind-providing pet care for pet parents who have had experiences in the past that were less than outstanding. Working in corporate America, I used several services, only to be consistently underwhelmed with the care my beloved babies were getting. I worried all the time, which kept me from doing my best job at the office. I never knew if the sitter was there, were my babies doing okay, and were they even seen? I worried all the time!!!

Thus, my business model was created. Provide a level of care where I would NEVER have to think twice if my pet family was looked after and loved. We’ve set a standard hard to match. Our areas of focus are AMAZING CARE, SAFETY, WELLNESS, COMMUNICATION AND PRIVACY. After each visit you will hear from us. We journal each event and focus on providing peace of mind for pet parents. Our team is comprised of the creme de la creme and each sitter is chosen for their vast pet experience and level of animal welfare, compassion and knowledge. The entire team knows First Aid and CPR. Since we work AS a team, there is always a back up person, generally me. We do all services in YOUR home, where your pets are safest and less stressed.

We know what it means to say “My pets are my kids.” We ALL know it, live it and breathe it!

When we do our “meet and greet” you will be presented with information, free gifts and items all speaking to our mantra of Safety, Wellness, Communication and Privacy. We carefully screen each pet family to make sure we can provide the level of care you seek and not disappoint. A little bit about me; I am married with three, four legged children. They are standard poodles, ages 6, 4 and 2-each is a rescue and our youngest was a puppy mill stud. I am familiar with issues associated with the puppy mill way of life. In our spare time we help other rescues with transport getting dogs to forever homes or foster homes/rescue groups and love fundraising. We also get a great deal of enjoyment running the beach with our dogs and watching them “fly” through the air, as poodles do. We are currently working on adopting a Welsh Corgi.
