As a pet sitter and dog walker in Racine, Wisconsin, I often do marketing to local pet stores. I like to attract potential new clients as well as check in and see what new merchandise is being delivered, and what new items and food brands are out.
As a pet owner myself, I believe that what you put into my pet, also results in a long, healthy, happy life for your pets. Nutrition can’t be scrimped; we couldn’t survive on a diet of McDonalds, although sadly, millions do.
Based on my research of the Best Pet Stores in Racine, here is our list:
- Happy Tails Pet Supplies– 5200 Douglas Ave. Suite B
Racine, WI 53402. They have been chosen as #1 for a reason. They are hard working people seeking to accomplish amazing things-educate the public on what is best for your animals, not just sell products. Ken, the owner, is a wealth of information, and keeps up with the latest trends in food, and reflects this in what he carries in his store. Always kind, always helpful, Ken and his wife Tiffany are true pioneers in a town that is more focused on price than quality.
- Pet Supplies Plus-5557 DURAND AVE
RACINE, WI 53406-5009. While this is a chain store, they have an amazing product selection, and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you. I used to be a pet food product demonstrator here, and was always thankful for the wonderful team members and managers who supported our efforts of educating the public on what is the best for their pets.
- Havahart Pets-6500 Washington Ave | Racine, Wisconsin. They offer a tremendous variety of brands, also focusing on holistically based diets. They also carry small animals and fish, along with supplies for both. As they simply don’t focus on food, the store can be a bit overwhelming.
Racine, Wisconsin is home to three major corporations-SC Johnson, Andi’s and Twin Disc. Right by Lake Michigan, its heyday was in the 1960s at the point of industrial manufacturing. Now, residents enjoy the proximity to the lake and to Milwaukee.
