A PET-FRIENDLY ST. PATRICK’S DAY 2014

An Irish proverb once said, “A dog owns nothing, yet is seldom dissatisfied.”  Do your pet a favor this St. Patrick’s Day, and include them on your festivities!

If we are getting into the spirit of the holiday and drinking green bear, why not let our dog enjoy some St. Patrick’s Day goodies too?  Here’s a link for a recipe to make delicious St. Paddy’s Day Patties for your dog!  If your dog benefits from a grain-free diet, try substituting the suggested flour with a gluten-free source instead, such a potato, coconut, tapioca, almond, or garbanzo bean flour.

Remember to be safe with your pet as you celebrate this fun holiday.  Be mindful of your pet’s needs and well-being.  Exercise your dog’s body and mind before leaving them to attend a St. Paddy’s Day party, or before having friends over to your home to celebrate.  Be sure to educate yourself on toxic foods and items that may be around during the festivities.
